Bituminous Activated Carbon (Mineral), is a high quality product made from bituminous coal. It is characterized by a large amount of meso to macro-pores (> 50nm) suitable for the removal of large molecules, is activated by steam, so that does not contain chemicals that may contaminate or react with the environment where it is used, containing a nearly neutral pH, particle size can be manufactured in less than mesh (8x30).
El Carbón Activado Bituminoso tiene una alta dureza, por lo tanto presenta mayor resistencia a la erosión. Can be used in fixed bed columns and moving bed with minimal losses in the backwash and regeneration processes.

Bituminous Activated Carbon is recommended for wastewater treatment, aiding in compliance with NOM-001-ECOL-1996 decreased levels of organic pollutants in industrial wastewater.
Can be used in treating municipal drinking water, reducing chlorine levels, lowering the levels below the norm NOM-127-SSA1-1994 and NOM-041-SSA1-1993 (250 ppm Cl-.)
It can also be used in the purification of air, eliminating odors and a number of gases or organic solvents, helps in the purification of natural gas, hydrogen sulfide adsorbing highly toxic.
It is a widely used material in the food industry and beverages, powdered form is occupied for the clarification of oils and syrups.
Puede ser utilizado en la Industria Agrícola en la retención de etileno, gas ocupado en la maduración de ciertos cultivos frutales, ya que posee excelente tiempo de retención de este gas al ser mezclado en sistemas de riego ayudando a demás a la mejora de suelos para cultivo.
